It all started with a dream . . .

In 1941, our founder, John T. Flaherty Sr. set out from Portland “into the countryside” to chase his dreams of farming.

Our farm began as a Poultry Farm, raising pasture raised chickens and then commercially raising hens for a local laying house in the 70’s and 80’s. The 80’s and 90’s brought on a huge commercial vegetable growing operation with hundreds of acres of corn, pumpkins, squash, tomatoes, potatoes, and more.

John (Jack) Flaherty Jr also started the annual and perennial greenhouse operations in the late 80’s. Today, our farm is still owned and operated daily by John’s children and grandchildren.
